Vegan Problems

It ain't easy, being dairy-free cheesey. The problems and perks of veganism, in gif form. Submissions ALWAYS welcome!
DISCLAIMER: Since this blog relies fairly heavily on submissions, not all of the posts will be views or opinions that I necessarily agree with. Just about everything here is exaggerated as well. Please, please, please feel free to follow even if you are not a vegan. :)

DISCLAIMER THE SECOND:
If you cannot go vegan for any reason, please disregard my posts. I am tired of having everything reblogged with "Well I can't go vegan therefore you are an ASSHOLE for telling me to!"
I wouldn't tell a fish to run a marathon and I won't tell someone who CANNOT go vegan that they should anyways. That's absurd.

  • Is it true that being vegan at a real young age can stunt your growth or mess with your development? I'm 14 and everybody is telling me that I can't go vegan because my body isn't fully developed. (Yet I've been a vegetarian for almost 2 years.)

Being deficient in or getting an excess of  vitamins or minerals, or consuming too many or inadequate calories will mess with your development, certainly. There’s a stereotype that vegans, especially ones that grow up vegan, are thin, pale, sickly, and undernourished. I’m sure that some vegans don’t ensure good nutrition and therefore grow up without enough vitamins, nutrients, or calories. My best advice is to know your stuff and make sure you’re getting the right nutrition your body needs. Seeing a nutritionist might also be a good idea. There’s some great websites where you can track not only how many calories you’re getting, but vitamins and minerals and macronutrients etc. which I think is very helpful when it comes to seeing the overall picture of your nutritional health. Best of luck to you!

  • “Veganism isn’t about being perfect. No one is perfect. It’s about doing absolutely everything you can, within your power, to reduce the suffering of our beloved animal companions.”
